The Jewellery Edit: Bleu de Jodhpur.. by Boucheron Paris…

Blue and white trend..  A reversible necklace by Boucheron Paris…

Boucheron Paris was established in Paris France in 1893. In that same year as the Boucheron website states, the founder Frederic Boucheron was the first of the great contemporary jewellers, to open a boutique within Place Vendome.

From the start when Frederic broke away from his family business, his fascination of gemstones took him in to a direction of becoming the greatest parisian jeweller of all time. He’s stunning over the top pieces were brought and worn by royalty across Europe, India and England.

To this day, his designs are still being translated into magnificent pieces of art.  With that, I introduce you to the reversible necklace by Boucheron Paris.

From the website it best describes this stunning piece…

‘The Jodhpur necklace is directly inspired by a necklace that was part of the most fabulous order ever made on the Place Vendôme – the Maharaja of Patiala’s commission in 1928 .

BOUCHERON created this necklace inspired by traditional Mughal jewelry: the structure is symmetrical.

The jewel is as precious on the back as it is on the front. Its “secret” side is exclusively destined for the pleasure of its owner.’

This piece of art, I mean, jewellery does not have a price listed on their website . As, a Boucheron client is from a world where asking for a price is frowned upon. They know what to expect from such craftsmanship.

This necklace is available to view by appointment only at Boucheron’s parisian boutique. If your not one of the lucky one’s to view this item in person, then you can dream about wearing it by viewing this necklace within their eboutique  at http://www.boucheron.com/en/the-creations/high-jewelry/bleu-de-jodhpur/jodhpur.html …

The team at the Jewellery Magazine love this piece and would love to own one, as in person this necklace is beyond beautiful, it’s stunning.  But, unfortunately we must continue looking at it on our computer screens.

Make sure you take a look at Boucheron’s website as this too is a masterpiece in itself.

Stunning design..  Dream worthy piece by De Beers…

The colour, the gemstones, the shapes, and the elegant design make this necklace very alluring.

I love it. I want it. I could possibly convince myself that I need it. Although there is one thing stopping me from buying it.

The Price.

There is no mention of the price on their online eboutique. So, I assume it’s because they are alluring me back to their store to find out… well… it’s working… Many years ago I visited their De Beers store in Hong Kong and it was the most amazing retail experience.

The Swan Lake collection by De Beers is inspired by the grace of a prima ballerina. The website describes the collection as follows:

‘It is said that a ballerina will only reach her prime if she dances the part of Odette and Odile, the shapes of the prima’s perfect moving form and the balance of the dancing formation of the corps of swans is core to the harmony of the necklace. Each rare and stunning diamond is positioned to bring out its character and life, its unique brilliance living up to its shape and size.’

Here are a few more pictures of pieces from the collection that we can all dream of owning. One day…
